Become a Volunteer Editor

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our team of remote volunteers. If you have experience of editing audio, we would love to hear from you.

In the last year, our team of volunteer narrators has increased to over 100 and we are in need of assistance to edit audiobooks that are returned from our narrators with errors.

Editors listen to the book from start to finish, editing things such as missed edits, background noise, or unusually long pauses as they go. They also check the overall sound quality and ensure it meets our specification for the library.

This role can be done in your own time and in the comfort of your home. Recordings can be sent via WeTransfer to your email address to download. If that is not an option, then we can also send the books out on a USB stick in a wallet to your address.

Prior experience of using editing software is essential.
