Calibre Audio is a UK-based charity providing an accessible audiobook service for people living with a print disability.

If you're living with a condition that affects your ability to access books, such as dyslexia, ADHD, or sight loss, Calibre Audio gives you more choice in how you read.

Membership costs £3 a month or £30 a year for UK members aged 18 and over. Membership is free for under-18s.

You may be eligible to join if you're living with a disability, health condition or learning difference that affects how you access printed books. This can include:

• Sight loss or visual impairment

• Dyslexia

• ADHD

• Autism

• Arthritis of the hands or wrists

• Parkinson's

• Stroke, brain injury or cognitive impairment

1. Complete the membership application
   Tell us a little bit about yourself, and choose how you'd like to listen.

2. Receive your membership details
   No waiting time before you can borrow. We'll email you with everything you need to get started.

3. Choose your first audiobook
   Borrow up to four titles at a time, just click 'Return' when you're done!

Will I need to provide evidence of my condition?

Not during the application process, no. We will only follow up with you if we have questions regarding your application.

Do I need to be registered blind?

No. We support people living with a wide range of disabilities and conditions and do not ask for proof that you are registered blind.

Can I complete a sign-up form on behalf of someone I support?

Yes, please complete the joining form with the details of the person you're supporting, but make sure the email address you provide is one that can be easily accessed, as we'll send sign-in information to the address you provide.

Where can I listen to Calibre Audio?

Members can listen via our streaming platform, My Calibre, or via the Libby and Dolphin EasyReader apps. Once you've registered, download the app of your choice and follow the membership instructions in your welcome email.

Can children join Calibre Audio?

Yes, anyone under 18 can join for free. We believe accessible reading for children with conditions like Dyslexia and ADHD is vital to their development. Every child deserves to experience the joy of reading.
