Stories, Creativity and Fun at Calibre Conversations Live!

We had a fantastic day filled with fascinating conversations, inspiring authors and plenty of lively interactions on stage!
On Thursday 15th October, Calibre Audio brought the joy of reading to the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre as part of the National Year of Reading 2026.
We welcomed 120 Year 5 children from a local school for a lively, interactive session with children’s author Louie Stowell. Louie was then joined by Rashmi Sirdeshpande for a fun-filled after-school event for children and parents, exploring the many ways we can enjoy stories, from audiobooks and comics to imaginative storytelling activities.
In the evening, crime fiction fans joined acclaimed author Vaseem Khan to hear about his writing journey, the art of crafting a gripping mystery and the inspiration behind his novels.
It was wonderful to bring people of all ages together to celebrate stories and explore the many ways we can enjoy reading.
