Joining from Overseas
Calibre Audio is based in the UK and is free to join for anyone print disabled. This includes people who either cannot see, read, manipulate or comprehend the text. The reasons for print disability vary but include:
- A learning disability, such as dyslexia
- A brain injury or cognitive impairment such as head trauma or stroke
- A vision impairment or blindness
- A physical dexterity problem such as multiple sclerosis (MS), Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Parkinson's disease, arthritis, paralysis or terminal illness
- Early dementia
Overseas members need to live in either the EU or any of the countries where the Marrakesh Treaty has come into force (see below).
If you live in the EU
Anyone with a visual impairment, dyslexia or another disability can join and borrow our audiobooks via streaming and download only.
If you live outside the EU (where the Marrakesh Treaty has been ratified)
Anyone living in a country that has ratified the Marrakesh Treaty who has a visual impairment, dyslexia or another disability can borrow audiobooks via streaming and download only.
